Broad Street Market seeking volunteers!
The Broad Street Market continues to make progress toward its goals of becoming the food-focused community hub that it once was. The market is welcoming two new businesses into the mix of current vendors and is encouraging current vendors to make renovations.
Reporter Matt Zencey found the market to be on the up and up during a recent visit.
The historic Broad Street Market (BSM) is hosting an array of outdoor events over the coming months spanning from July through October. All events are free and open to the public. Sponsorship opportunities are available for these events and other projects at the Broad Street Market. The market is also actively seeking indoor and outdoor vendors, musicians and volunteers to serve as market ambassadors. Contact the market manager to inquire about these opportunities.
WGAL 8 covers the exciting changes happening at the Broad Street Market
Each week, its legacy is carried forth by the dozens of purveyors of meats, produce, flowers, cheeses, baked goods, prepared foods and more. A couple of months back, our photographer, Dani Fresh, decided to visually document the people who make the Market the wonderful place it is.
One of her first endeavors at Broad Street Market is implementing a new outdoor producers-only farmers market in July in the courtyard between the market's brick and stone buildings.
