Junta Directiva
The Alliance's bylaws establish a governing board comprised of up to fifteen individuals: eight at-large members (one of whom must be a vendor) elected by the board at large, two additional vendor representatives elected by vendors themselves, one representative elected by Friends of the Market, two members appointed by Harrisburg City Council, and two members appointed by the Harrisburg Mayor (the Community Development Director or equivalent position and the City Engineer or Public Works Director).

Board members are volunteers who serve three-year terms and are not compensated for their participation on the board.

Venus Hawbaker has been a Harrisburg resident and Broad Street Market lover for nearly 20 years, living in the Olde Uptown neighborhood. She is a branding consultant working with local small businesses in Central PA.
